Wright Winger

Although Barack Hussein Obama once declared that the Islamic call to prayer is "one of the prettiest sounds on Earth," it seems likely that he's now found one even more pleasing: the sound of rioting anti-American mobs across the Middle East.

What we're seeing is more than the result of four years of appeasement by this president's administration...we're seeing the consequences of four years of his actually encouraging radical Islam while backing away from America's allies.

There is far too much news, quickly changing, for Hope n' Change to list here. But consider the fact that credible sources now report that the U.S. had intelligence warnings of potential attacks in Cairo and Benghazi a full 48 hours before the murderous violence began - yet did nothing. No warnings were issued, no lockdowns occurred, and security was not increased - perhaps out of fear that doing so would appear to be a "provocation." And so four Americans were killed, including a U.S. ambassador.

And on that same terrible day, Barack Hussein Obama rejected a request for a meeting from Benjamin Netanyahu to discuss the growing likelihood of a war with Iran (a despotic regime sworn to Israel's destruction which Obama has done everything in his power to make into a nuclear-armed nation) because he thinks it's more important to make a campaign appearance on the Dave Letterman show.

But the president has found room in his busy schedule to meet with the president of Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood and mention in passing that he (Obama) does not consider Egypt itself to be an ally of the United States.

It would be easy to label Barack Obama as "America's chicken coming home to roost," to paraphrase his longtime pastor's declaration that our nation deserved the attacks of 9/11. But the real problem is not that Obama is cowardly.

Quite the contrary: he is unbelievably bold about advancing the cause of the Muslim Brotherhood throughout the Middle East (going so far as to fund it with billions of taxpayer dollars), and unbelievably transparent in his preference for all things Islamic to all things American.

But to return to the words of Obama's "spiritual mentor," the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, it is not God who has damned America...but the voters, synchophants, supporters, backroom dealers, and media enablers who through stupidity, greed, malice, or desire for power put a president in office who believes our nation should be humbled and broken (if not outright destroyed) for the good of the world.

Make no mistake: Obama is driving the world towards a war which he expects and desires the West to lose. And nightmarishly, there is no man in the world currently more able to assure that grim outcome.

This is pathetic, even worse than Jimmy Carter's pathetic presidency. Come on, November! Hopefully the world will survive until then...

Stilton Jarlsberg said...

@Velcro- I'm not at all confident that the world will look the same by November. U.S. authorities are now warning of the danger of domestic violence as things get crazy - including danger against Islamic organizations (you know, like the anti-Islamic massacres which occurred all over the heartland after 9/11 and the Fort Hood bloodbath). Is this going to be used as an excuse to crack down further on our freedom of speech and freedom to assemble? I'm not trying to be conspiratorial, but I don't have an ounce of trust left in me when it comes to this president and his administration.

Hmmmm, was expecting the riots and civil unrest to be carried out by SCIU and OWS not a Muslim group but anything is possible. I am still predicting that martial law will be declared either the last week of October or very beginning of November if it looks like Obama is going to lose the election.

You can be certain that if the muslims do attack in the US again, Obama and his media machine will find a way to blame it on the Tea Party and the Republicans, either directly accusing them of doing the attacks, or accusing the Tea Party of somehow provoking the Muslims. On a related note, General Martin Dempsey has called on Terry Jones to withdraw his support of that anti-Islam film that has supposedly caused this violence. The fact that General Dempsey does not realise that it is the Muslims themselves, not anyone "provoking" them, that is responsible for this violence, makes him unfit for a command position in my opinion. What else does he not realise? Maybe I'm just being harsh. I find it quite annoying how the media and PC types portray this violence as being singlehandedly caused by whatever is "provoking" them, rather than the attitudes of the muslims themselves. For example, Christians don't go murdering people who insult Jesus.

I think it is a sad, sad day for the citizens of the US, when the only ones to do actual journalism are the news organizations outside the US media market, i.e., the UK media story on the 48 hrs warning - I swear I see better, more honest reporting from Pravda

The media buries stories by information overload, if one remembers that not so long ago, the Presidents of Libya and Egypt (among other AS countries) visited Iran, and now there is evidence surfacing that an Iranian backed group is the one instigating these mass 'demonstrations'. Another, Obama signed an ED allowing the gov't to seize the internet in time of 'crisis'. Hark back to the weeks old reports of when Homeland Security, The Army, Fish and Wild Life and the Social Security Administration were mass buying Hollow Point ammunition for 'target practice' and riot gear for anticipated civil insurrection after the elections (it was also for the RNC/DNC convention OWS riots that never happened)? Then there is always Rahm's "Never let a good crisis go to waste". Coincidence, I think not. Am I a conspiracy junkie? No, just aware.

Our government, in the person of General Martin Dempsey, has officialy spit on the 1st ammendment to "avoid hurting the religous feelings" of the Islamists. Not too long ago our government, under the auspices of the NEA, funded the infamous "Piss Christ" blasphemy of Andres Serrano. No wonder we are circling the drain at terminal velocity.

Situational awareness is the key to survival - being aware of yourself, your environment, other actors in your environment, and your current capabilities and possibilities based on those tow factors. I am becoming more anxious as November approaches, and my anxiety has nothing to do with the tight race between the candidates and everything to do with having less than ounce of trust left in me when it comes to this president and his administration.

Obama expects Americans to react like cringing Europeans by whining and demanding even more government to "fix" the problem. He is counting on us forgetting who we are and from whence we came. I pray God he is mistaken. People know this isn't right. They just have to connect the last two dots to know why and what must be done to correct it.

I doubt these scroat suckers give a red rip about insulting the prophet... they just want an excuse to have a riot. What the hell, it's FUN. Gather up a few hundred friends, go tear some shit up, burn some shit down, maybe grab a quick piece of ass. And if you have access to RPGs you can even blow shit right the Eff UP! How sweet is THAT?!?!

And you know what? it's all at minimal risk to YOU - you KNOW the Wussy Americans won't shoot back / defend themselves...

Where the hell is JTKirk when you need him, anyway?

The attack was clearly astroturf. I think the Obama Administration is thrilled this opportunity came up. Anything that gets the national attention off of the economy is welcome news to the Obama campaign. Yes, the Obama foreign non-policy is horrendous. But it's more amenable to ambiguous hopey-changiness than the reality of an obviously failing economy. Never let a crisis go to waste...

Earl Allison said...

Is it really bold of Obama? Or has he just gotten the perfect storm of political correctness, having the "right" skin color to further deflect criticism, a media who will defend him relentlessly, and a 'D' for party affiliation?

I'm not detracting from the seriousness of the harm he's done, but bold is not a word I think it right to use in conjunction with the Thin-Skinned President, a.k.a. "Present!"

Brazen, audacious, hypocritical, absolutely.

As for Free Speech, and this Administration's desire to not offend religions, can I expect an apology from Bill Maher, from the President himself (bitter clingers, indeed), and the entire government for funding P!ss Christ?

No? Ah, so the whole thing is a smokescreen? Color me shocked :)

Thanks for posting!

Islam is NOT a “religion”, much less a “religion of peace”. (If Islam is a religion, so are the Democrat and Republican parties. And while there is no doubt that there is a fine line between politics and religion, there is a line.) Unless and until we acknowledge this simple fact (Islam is NOT a religion), we can never hope to adequately counter the biggest threat to freedom that exists in our world. Allah is NOT God and Mohammed was NOT a prophet. Islam is a barbaric, totalitarian, death-centric, populous-controlling political system loosely disguised as a religion. It plays to the baser violent and power-hungry instincts of men. There are no moderate Muslims. By the definitions provided in the Quran, there are Muslims (what we call radical Muslims), apostates (non-radical Muslims) and “dhimmi” (non-Muslims). Apostates and dhimmi are to be eliminated. Yes: it is (or will eventually be) a war against Islam. There is no other choice. Islam has already declared open war against everything non-Muslim. Choosing not to fight your enemy (or even acknowledge that they ARE the enemy) does not make them any less your enemy.

Of all the corruption in this country and the different places to point fingers I feel most of our problems would be greatly reduced if the msm would resort to honest reporting.

CenTexTim said...

@Velcro - I'm old enough to remember the Carter years and the American hostages in Iran. Comparing obama to Carter is like comparing ... well, apples to apples.

@Goldenrod - you're 100% correct, but doing so would interfere with their pre-determined storyline.

Stilton Jarlsberg said...

@Dave David Schmoyer- If I was a conspiracy type, I'd say the smart play for the administration would be A) whip up something for Islamists to be pissed about (like a movie), B) make damn sure that Islam knows about the movie via government apologies for it (which additionally implies government responsibility for our offensive behavior), C) after fomenting anger, make sure our embassies are undefended to guarantee trouble, D) suggest the possibility of domestic terror, E) stage an attack on an Islamic institution in the United States, and F) lock down the vocal right wing. By my count, we're already up to "D" - and I hope we never get to "E."

@Dobro Player- The idea that ideological "provocation" excuses violence is against every principle that Americans hold dear. The General might as well argue that women who dress attractively are to blame when they're raped. Which, come to think of it, is a tenet of Sharia law.

@SeaDog- None of us wants to be a conspiracist, but it's hard not to connect the dots when there are so many.

@TrickyRicky- And where does this end in General Dempsey's mind? Once it becomes law to "avoid hurting religious feelings," why not political feelings? And by the way, General, our Constitution offends Islam's feelings - shall we jettison it?

(More comments shortly - I need to check out the news. Sounds like the world is going to hell more rapidly.)

Stilton Jarlsberg said...

@Emmentaler- Absolutely.

@Angry Hoosier Dad- Ask the people in London how well it's worked to avoid annoying Muslims in the name of political correctness. At this very moment, there is a mob in London burning our flag in front of the American Embassy.

@Stan da Man- Indeed, the bad actors in the Middle East may be aware that this is there last chance to attack the United States with impunity, as there may be a very different administration heading into Washington soon.

@Earl Allison- In this case, my use of the word "bold" had nothing to do with courage, but rather your definitions: brazen and audacious.

And damn good point about Bill Maher. The man calls women c*nts and released A MOVIE (gasp!) attacking religion...and Obama still happily accepted a million dollar campaign contribution from him. If I didn't know Barry's middle name was Hussein, I'd swear the "H" stood for hypocrite.

@Red- Obama apparently thinks that the Marine motto is "Semper Mime" - as in, "pretend to be armed."

@Chuck- People can believe whatever the hell they want, but religion can't be used as an excuse for unacceptable behavior. And by "unacceptable" I'm talking about raping and killing women, pouring acid in their faces, beheading Christians and, oh yeah, flying jetliners into buildings.

And why does Obama speak out against the Catholic church's support of life, but fail to speak out against Islam's support of death?

@Mike Porter- Well said.

Stilton Jarlsberg said...

@Goldenrod- Absolutely. Mrs. Jarlsberg remarked this morning that my commentary really should have laid more of this mess at the MSM's door, which is completely correct (but I wanted to keep a narrower focus on Obama). But if we had a truthful, unbiased media in this country things would be very different indeed. And by "different" I mean immeasurably better.

@CenTexTim- At least Carter launched a mission to get the hostages out of Iran. Granted the mission failed...but that's still lightyears better than launching an apology for America's offensiveness.

@Red- I'm still not accusing Barry of being a Muslim, but no one can convince me that he doesn't have greater affection for Islam than any other faith. And if he's a Christian, I'm a registered Democrat.

@Bobo & Chuck- I nuked the message from "Jokesfb" which was either a knock-knock joke in Farsi, or a fatwa on this site. Either way, this is a section for comments - not a wall for strangers to put their graffiti on.

It's a never ending cycle.

1. Caught screwing the United States.
2. Denial
3. Boiler house explanations
4. Pretended indignation
5. Media cover
6. Wipes penis on the curtains
7. Repeat step one.

The only step I can remove, which will stop the cycle, is step 5. I do my best to insure no participation in using outlets I detest and avoid products that advertise with these traitors.

Stilton Jarlsberg said...

@Philip- Ouch, ouch, ouch. In the order of your links, Obama was misquoted as saying Muslim hostility would "ease." He actually said it would become "easy."

Regarding the credit downgrade for the U.S., we damn well deserved it for promising to create $40B of worthless currency per month. The value of the dollar went into the dumper (as John the Econ points out, an instant and painful tax on anyone with savings or retirement funds) and Egan-Jones rightly assesses that QE3 will only hurt the American economy. But it just might make it look an itsy-bitsy bit better until, oh, November - and that's all Obama cares about.

Regarding the Islamic flag over the US Embassy in Tunisia, it turns out this is nothing to worry about because Jay Carney assures us that America is NOT the target of these attacks.

@Jess- I think the cycle you describe is entirely accurate, and it is step 5 I'd like to see something done about. Though at the moment (and all too slowly), market forces are eroding the profitability of those "news" organizations that only propagandize.

Philip said...

@Stilt,

I remember a cartoon from here (2010?) and Obama said, more or less, "Don't forget America that your are still my bitch".

Here it is :

"Obama takes the greatest country in the world and turns it into a rape victim for its enemies"

I said "ouch" too...

John the Econ said...

Saw that they were burning Obama in effigy today. Wow, that sure wasn't supposed to happen. I was under the impression that it was only white-male conservatives that were supposed to get that treatment. I'm certain that Holder was contemplating "hate crime" charges before he was reminded that this wasn't happening in America, yet.

I wonder if some liberals are starting to get it; that it isn't who's President or the lack of international hopey-changiness that makes them hate us. They hate us because they have absolutely nothing better to do, and there is little we can do to change that. So we should stop trying.

Stilton Jarlsberg said...

@Philip- You sent me on a merry chase to find that cartoon, but here it is, from back in January 2010.

On a side note, I'm proud of the fact that people can go into the Hope n' Change archives for its nearly four year history and check the accuracy of what was said contemporaneously - and how things have played out. I've never gone back to change a thing to protect my reputation or accuracy...and I've never needed to.

@John the Econ- Jay Carney, that bland little liar, continues to say that the Muslim mob violence has nothing to do with America, Americans, our policies, and especially nothing to do with Obama (despite the crowds chanting about him). Nope, this is all protesting a movie that almost no one has seen, and many Muslims don't even seem to be aware exists.

Bullcrap, says I. These are cultures and people who hate us because of our Constitution and freedoms, and no amount of appeasement and no number of apologies will change that. We can either proactively surrender (which seems to be the course favored by this president), or we can make it clear that America won't play by the rules of the fanatics... and we really and truly aren't to be screwed with beyond certain limits.

Unknown said...

Reminds me of the story of an Indian, a Muslim and a Cowboy sitting round the campfire. The Indian lamented "Once we were many, now we are few". The Muslim stated, "Once we were few, but praise Allah, now we are many". The Cowboy spat in the fire, looked the Muslim in the eye and said "We ain't played Cowboys and Muslims yet".

I'm ready, let the games begin...

Chuck said...

Anybody know where this awful, hateful, violence-inducing film can be viewed? I head on the radio that it was actually pretty accurate, and I'd like to see what we are being punished for. I didn't get a glimpse at the Danish cartoons until weeks after the bloodshed they "caused".

Talk about misguided: expressing an opinion non-violently is to blame for others being violent ... like a woman dressing in something other than a tent causes rapists to rape. These are strange times, indeed

Chuck...I just read your post from Friday the 14th...right on, buddy...recently learned a lotta stuff about Mohammed...seems he's just another 'Jim Jones' type (of Guiana fame), a weirdo who thought he was a prophet of some god...after his baloney was laughed out of his hometown of Mecca, he travelled to Medina where the Jewish Arabs welcomed him, but again, his teachings were rejected. Before this happened, he wrote of the Jewish folks around h im as 'the light of the world', and other nice things. But, he snapped when he was totally rejected and proceeded on a course of Anti-Semitism beyond belief, killing thousands of Jewish Arabs, and enlisting many other idiots in his insane hatred. Even on his deathbed, where most decent people recant their failings in life, Mohammed urged his followers to continue killing Jews, friends of Jews, and other Arabs who would not kill Jews.
This all happened several centuries ago, so in my mind, Mohammed's ideology has killed more people in this world than anyone, since Islam is still very much alive and well even now!

Stilton Jarlsberg said...

@SeaDog- That's not the scenario I most want to see, but if it happens we definitely need to be the cowboys.

@Chuck- I see SeaDog has posted a link for you. What a freaking joke this film is. Apparently even the actors didn't know it was supposed to be about Islam - character names and dialogue were changed after the fact. I've seen more sophisticated creations by 12 year olds on Youtube.

The coverage of the return of those killed in the Libya attack leaves me without words to convey my disgust. This was a carefully choreographed photo-op for Obama. While in the Corp, I served on CG's Honor Guard/Escort and I never saw a President then, or have knowledge of one since then that has so callously disregarded the bereaved's feelings to advance an agenda of cover-up (evidenced that the bereaved did not want their faces shown at the ceremony).

It's all about cover-up and denial now, forgetting that there are too many resources out there with the truth circulating to make this anything other than a Baghdad Bob moment in history. Anyone with any combat training can tell that the second attack was done by trained personnel with a fire control and command presence. Mr. President, grow a set and admit that you and the SOS were wrong and institute corrections to your failed policies. If you need some real, experienced guidance, I suggest the following: http://www.thedonovan.com/archives/2012/09/enough_already.html

Stilton Jarlsberg said...

@StanDaMan- Yeah, the film is a joke. Even radical lunatics would have to see it as a joke. Which is why I don't believe that the film had much, if anything, to do with this violence - and why I find it so appalling that Jay Carney, Obama, Hillary, and the MSM are all lying their asses off about it. I think I could build a more compelling case that Obama was elected because Americans liked the film "Forrest Gump."

@SeaDog- I see that you, too, are doing dual duty over at Facebook, and I really appreciate your comments. Barry's team made that ceremony look as staged and artificial as an episode of "Let's Make a Deal." I believe that the policies of Obama and Hillary Clinton got these good people killed, and then the two of them use the corpses of our dead to cover their own asses and advance their own political fortunes. Trust me, right about now I could teach radical Islam a thing or two about being offended.
